He had led an expedition to the farthest tip of the land, a shortened peninsula that bordered the sea. His discovery found a multitude of fine wares, spices and silk. Jane was drawn to him like a magnet, and happiest in his charming company. Sir Luke would offer the treasures to her father as an example of worth for his daughter.
