Unless you have been living under a rock– which actually might be a cooler place to reside, you are HOT! And I’m not talking about those waiters in tuxedos I mentioned in an earlier post or the aging actors I find more appealing now than when they were young. I’m talking streaming smelly sweat hot and burn your legs on a car seat hot; frying an egg on your sidewalk hot—not that I’d ever do that, yuck! I am lucky to have air conditioning in my apartment but the rest of my family not so. My son in France is having a hard time trying to cultivate a garden in unprecedented heat and dryness. Fire warnings and actual unstoppable fires rage on. Hopefully September will bring relief.

I hope so! This summer Ireland has had temps that are rare for us…up to 32 C!

I think I’m looking forward to September more than ever before.

I do hope September will bring relief indeed. The wildfires in France are horrible. I’m so glad we have only had one here in the Netherlands this summer, quite close to where I live (not close enough for me to be affected, but close enough that I know the area quite well).
