Simply Six Minutes

It looked beautiful but not inviting, not the cresting green blue waves she loved as a child. Even being night time she would have seen some sort of movement. No, this was a dark pool just sitting there willing her to come in. The lights of the city no longer beckoned her. After all, he was gone, for..ever, it seemed. All she wanted really, was to be with him, wherever he was. Was this dark blue pool where he was? If she stepped in would it take her to him? What did she have to lose by trying? Everything around her, anything she had now was nothing compared to being with him. She put one foot into the inky mass and it pulled her in quickly.
