Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

A baby shower for my first great grandchild was held this month. Attended by both families, and friends, it was a very nice occasion. Being the first to both grandmothers and great grandmothers, there were many gifts. A few handmade quilts, blankets and every necessity of the day. I marveled thinking of my first child when an old wooden crib was the extent of our “necessities”. A cute gift from a new doctor was a set of children’s books featuring a lexicon of germs, cells, and vaccines.
