Since our big family Thanksgiving dinner was postponed we are now revved up for turkey today. I am looking forward to it since my daughter’s home is probably decorated for Christmas by now and the atmosphere will be a welcome change from my dreary, box filled apartment. There is always much laughter and oohing and ahhing when the traditional feast is on the table. Sugar and spice and everything nice is the theme for the day.

We used to sing that song with our grandchildren. Now they are all grown with children of their own. I miss that!
