The box provided a sturdy ship as long as it remained on dry land. Any pirate has to wear the tricornered hat and an eyepatch fulfills the image. Even these accoutrements supplied by friends did not assuage his feelings. He made a rolled up brown paper scope to better his vision. Tristan would search the area every day, from now on, sitting here waiting for his mom to show herself on the horizon. A tear would come he tried to ignore, because he was a pirate, of course.
