Poem: Feigning Peace

I try to be still
Becoming water
Like glass smooth
Unperturbed surface
Hiding the tremoring 
In the depths hidden
Where the emotions
Live roiling in a boil
That I contain here
With a slight smile
Quiet balancing
What should be
Said out loud
Swallowed in
Silence
