Close Encounter

Softness brushed my arm and I watched you approach the table, slinking into the chair smoothly as donning a silk glove, all vermillion lipsticked and curled sepia hair, your skin radiant gold in your plunging black velvet. You glanced back at me, invitingly, knowingly.

As I rose to join you, a gentleman drifted by me and sat with you. In the end, we were just a moment.
