“It’s none of your concern” she said sharply to a young man offering help. Pushing the cart up the sidewalk, she strained at the weight and slight incline of the cement. This was a daily occurrence for the homeless woman but she never dared be away from her tawdry possessions that overflowed the conveyance. She refused care of help from strangers and preferred isolation. After years of being hounded and used by an uncaring family, the life she led by herself was not an unhappy one.
