“Have a seat right here. Want a soda?”
“No. I want a lawyer.”
“So it says here you said you were just walking by. Why is that?”
“I was waiting for a friend.”
“Would that friend be Jack Jones?”
“I don’t know any Jack whatever.”
“Oh, so the so called friend you were meeting wasn’t Jack? Then who?”
“Just a guy I met at the bar. Joe, I never caught his last name.”
“So you’re meeting a guy you don’t know his last name, for what?”
Squirming a bit, “just a drink. Can I call my lawyer now?”
“Just a few more questions. It says here you were seen talking to Jack Jones.”
“Like I said I don’t know Jack”.
“Then you won’t be upset to know Jack was found murdered a few minutes after you were seen with him.”
Appearing distraught, the suspect shook his head. “I told you I don’t know him, never talked to him and I want that lawyer, now!”
“You seem visibly upset by Jack’s death. Tell us again why you were talking to him?”
“I told you, I don’t know Jack. I’m not saying anything more until I get that lawyer.”
