Hoping, yet not anxious to see the lightened end, the curtain pulled

Disclosing the elephant in the room.

Standing, wondering, curious, yet not.

You’ve been here before at the base of a mountain,

Previously climbed with success

This day it seems higher, rockier.

Is it ever going to be yielding, steady on

Or is life like this hollow in the tangles?

Stepping in, unsure if your arrival will be

Free, unscathed, or will you be consumed and disappear.
