“Well I have a surprise for you. Mom and I are taking you with us on vacation this year!”
“Not going to camp all summer like last year?”
“No, son, this year you’re going to join us!”
“So where are we going? My favorite, Disneyland?”
“Uh, no son, were renting a cabin in the woods, no electricity, no WiFi, no television, just the three of us! It’s time we got to know each other a little better now that you’re thirteen.”
“No wifi? No electricity? What will we do all day?”
“We’ll go hiking, rock climbing, fishing for our dinner, foraging for mushrooms and at night we’ll all sit in front of the fireplace and have s’mores! Doesn’t that sound nice?”
“No, Dad, it sounds like camp minus my friends. . .”
