Xp reminds me of 2009? and my old desk setup-computer with big stack, keyboard, monitor, scanner and printer. I was using Windows and someone gave me an XP disc.
Instead I ventured into a laptop, probably because I had grand illusions of sitting by a stream somewhere, typing away about the fate of the environment. I don’t have illusions any longer. Sometimes life’s reality just hits you in the face and says, wake up, idiot.
And now that I am that happy idiot, it is a lot easier.

“Wake up, idiot” is a great summary of how things usually go for me. My laptop has been a great friend. 🙂

My relationship with my laptop is not good. So I do my blogging on my phone.

It’s that tiny keyboard and old fingers that are my nemesis on the phone

Yeah same here. But the overall benefit outweighs the constant retyping of words.

I switched to an iPad which is more user friendly. How long are they supposed to last? I think mine is about 6 years old.

They seem to last a good long time. I have given some away, but I’ve never heard of one wearing out.
