Charlie had finally completed the hairless trinket. Working on it tirelessly for the past week, it could finally be wound up to move on its own. The purple eyes were a great addition, he mused, for her favorite color was purple. Using her favorite picture frame edges for the legs was genius! Her ancient treasured music box provided the key to make it crawl and her wedding necklace the rest.
As he admired his work, he thought just how he would put his plan into action–wait till she was going to sit for tea in the conservatory, place the wound up spider under her napkin covered biscuits, and wait for the scream!
He could hardly contain his giggles as he joined her for tea.
