“Frankly, I’ve had it with your behavior, the boss decreed. I’m no longer going to condone your eating other peoples’ lunch from the fridge. Why can’t you just make your own lunch?”
The rest of the employees in the small office cafeteria agreed. One suggested Pete should buy pizzas or Chinese to be delivered just to make up for his thoughtlessness.
Pete just shrugged, not accepting these rules of rejection and walked out. The next day the security guard was eating his lunch when he saw Pete confiscating another lunch, clearly marked for someone else. He grabbed Pete by the collar and took him into the boss.
No surprise as Pete was fired. Subtle cheering was heard as he packed his belongings and left.
