The most peace of mind I’ve had in my life was as a child–actually many places come to mind, but my favorite was the maple grove. As you walked up from the road there seemed to be a wide path that was canopied by maple trees. The outside areas were wild flower heaven. Every spring the school held a contest to see who could bring in the first blooms of the season. Trailing arbutus, violets, jack-in-the-pulpit, bluets, and more. You could lay there under the trees or among the flowers and just appreciate nature’s beauty.
