Since Tom over at tombeingtom decided to defend my nest, I called upon the Queen of the garden. The beautiful Camellia, popular in Victorian times, was often given as a gift meaning “my destiny is in your hands”. A ceremony will be held as she will dub him Knight of the Garden.

All in a day’s work, my friend, no reward necessary. 👊
Though … come to think of it … I do like the sound of “Sir” Tom. 😁

Just love these plants. Here in this portion of Canada they start blooming late March, early April and last for about six weeks; when mature. The apartment we live in; we probably have the least desirable view of all the apartments. One redeeming feature, is a pink Camellia. Located against west facing wall, we get the full spectrum of it’s life; which includes blooming. Gorgeous!

It’s nice to have a gift of nature in the atmosphere.
