MLMM Saturday Mix 1-27-18

I don’t think he realized just how crowded it was. He plopped himself down in the seat next to me and as the bus jostled this way and that, his bulk seemed to expand onto my own seat. I don’t like to waste money on cabs, so take the bus as often as I can. If only I’d known he was going to choose the empty seat beside me I would have remained upright, hanging onto the ceiling straps! It seemed a ridiculous idea at first thought, to invest in a cab ride, but now I wish I had.

  1. One time I was taking a plane ride to Vancouver. The travel agent at AAA assured me the seat next to mine was empty. I breathed a sigh of relief.

I boarded the plane and the seat was still empty. A few minutes before the door was closed a man six foot five inches weighing in at least 265 pounds sat next to me or at least tried to do so.

He was huge and the tiny passenger seat mercifully allowed a goodly majority of his body mass flow over the edges of the seat and onto myself and the center aisle.

I was grateful the flight was less than ninety minutes in duration.

I can appreciate your position on the bus ride. In your situation you could have rang the bells and gotten off. In mine they did not provide me with a parachute at the door.

Such is life I guess. 🙂
