Dear Captain Poldark,
I can only imagine the strength it takes for you to not say yes to the magistrate and other political positions you have been recruited for. I know your dear wife would also like to see you in these positions of power in order to help the poor and unfortunate in your area.
I ask that you reconsider your decision, only because you are so worthy. I realize you do not want to be manipulated or observed as a political person. I think your decision to help others from a less obvious standing is your choice of course, and I respect your wishes. I am however, worried, and would be disappointed that someone such as Mr. Warleggan might be the next candidate and that will surely be bad news for all of us.
I hope you will not take offense at this note. If so, I offer my sincere apology. Thank you for continued care of the people in your district.
With Respect,
James Beecham
