Ever been to a shrink?
One asking you to think
What could be the matter
Are you the Hatter?
Certainly not, you utter
His words come like butter,
Go on, continue
As he looks out the window
You wonder as his eyes start to glisten
If he even cares to listen
You pour out your heart, hoping to heal
While he basically ignores how you feel
The whole medical doctor psychologist thing
Isn’t for me, no confidence in them does it bring
They pretend to listen, to care
While at their computer they stare
I think getting their medical college degrees
That are compensated by huge office fees
Should offer a course on how to please
Not just focus on finding disease
There’s something to be said for “bedside manner”
That answers you give really do matter.
