A – Adoption

A child of two

Hardly knew

His life would be 

A tragedy.

Adopted at birth

They knew not his worth

And how his life would be.

Turned away at four

They loved him no more

Moved on to another family

Then just as quick

He moved again at six

This is how his life would be.

He is now older

His responses bolder

He seems always to be unhappy.

This little boy’s life

Causes much strife

To all around him you see.

Was it ordained

Or being distrained

That caused such a life to be.

A sad tale for thee

Yes, a tragedy

For it’s how his life will be.
