A to Z Challenge -D as in Double D?

I first thought of “I Double Dog Dare you!” But then the Double D reminded me of ladies’ and sometimes men’s underwear. Curious fact that the double size only starts at D. What happened to triple A? Sorry, had to do it. 

Double B, C? Why is it only D that is doubled, tripled, maybe quadrupled? I really have no idea. I know there’s E, double, triple E, and so on for F, G. Is there an H or more? 

There used to be a funny show on television that featured an underwear shop. They specialized in fitting and shaping women who didn’t fit into the “norm”. I haven’t seen it for a while. Maybe T outlawed it.
