The sand filled his shoes, but he hardly noticed. His pack was not heavy, though it carried most of his life. He always had it when seeking something new, something undone. Adventure beckoned and often his body would follow. This walk and chill of the sea air was supposed to clear his mind.
The bright light was coming nearer, warmth closing around him, filling the emptiness. Slowly his body was being lifted into the gold. “Where am I going?” he asked to no one. He was being transported, but to where? He closed his eyes, letting the glow carry him.
