Good ol’ boys will get us killed

Our Wyoming governor gave a speech yesterday, and although he is not adept at such endeavors, I found myself feeling sorry for him as he seemed discouraged in the wake of our uptake in Coronavirus numbers–the infections and deaths, and the future of our few hospitals able to cover it.

This feeling of mine dissipated as he still refuses to go rogue from our “good ol ‘boy realm and act decisively.

There was no luminescence streaming in as he blamed and bemoaned our failing economy on WY residents going south to Colorado to spend money where everyone is safer because of a state wide mask and restrictions mandate.

Wake up, Governor Gordon!

In the Reader, if you scroll to read my posts, you might need special goggles to correct the form and placement as WordPress manipulates my structure.

I can’t even read my own posts in the Reader, the setup is so confusing. It doesn’t take a lightning bolt of recognition for WP to correct these flaws in presentation. Just put it like I wrote it, please!

SoCS 11-14-20

Ringing in winter nights:

Ever feel like you are in love with your soft covers when snuggling down under, stretching out, then relaxing your muscles, with just parts of your face outside the cloth because of course you need to breathe and once you are entirely comfy and warm, you take a deep breath of the cold air outside your cocoon and think to yourself, this is heavenly, all is right with the world at this moment, right here, right now and I am happy? This is how I ring in winter cold.

Fandango’s Friday Flashback 11-13-20

Carrot Ranch Flash Fiction – MESH

She was tall, he was short, she skinny, he fat. . .you get the picture. However, love truly is blind. They met commenting on a Twitter post, both agreeing about what was said. He was extremely witty and she thought he was fun. So began their tweeting relationship.

It wasn’t long before they fell in love, as much as you can on an electronic screen anyway. They texted, emailed and talked a bit through Skype, basically fell in love by facial expressions. They decided to meet “for real”.

Anxiously awaiting an actual meeting, they discovered two opposites mesh together well.

After reading all the literature on the planets, the Milky Way, the solar system, and the galaxies, Paul still was mesmerized by the adventure. His lifelong studies never seemed to arrest his enthusiasm for the unexplored. As he was being strapped in to the SpaceX vehicle, he let out his breath in a satisfied sigh.
