I do not understand the reasons behind government officials who should, by previous convictions to represent their constituents, act in their people’s best interests, who now are determined to thwart attempts to lessen deaths caused by the pandemic and not act to diminish numbers of the sick. Is this a self important ego related control, or maniacal result of a certain political party?

Yesterday I had more than a wee bit of fun with my youngest grandson who is leaving for college in less than two weeks. We had not gotten together here for almost two years. I asked him to come and help me do some lifting, sorting, etc that I’ve needed to do for a long time. I feel very accomplished that these jobs are done. After working we enjoyed games of cards and a movie. It was great fun and I will miss him again when he goes to Laramie to the university. Lots of laughs and a wee bit of serious conversation was much fun.

Tom didn’t have to prove anything, at least no one thought so except him. Winning the marathon by acting to shove his last opponent to the side was unacceptable. Tom could easily have won by just finishing. As Tom broke the line tape, surging forward, the second in line managed to sustain the pace close behind him. He did survive the last few feet to win, until Tom shoved him. Both men had the love of winning, but Tom’s face turned scarlet as his opponent was cheered and Tom was booed.
