1. Did you live close by or far away from close family or grandparents?My grandparents lived with us.

2. How often did you see or visit extended family?We saw them often. Two of my sisters and families lived very close.

3. Was the coming together cheerful and celebrated in some way?
4. Which relative did you enjoy seeing the most? Why? My favorite relative was my Aunt Emma who visited us every summer. She was fun and had great stories and we played games.

5. Were there relatives you dreaded visiting? If so, why? Of course, everyone has those relatives in the family😄

6. If you were the visitor, was the trip short and easy or was it a journey?
7. Were your visits short or extended? If extended visits, where did you sleep? Bed, sofa bed, couch, floor? I don’t remember spending time overnight.

8. When it came time to leave, was it difficult to say goodbye?The hardest time I had saying goodbye was to my folks after having my own family, living far away and saying goodbye after visiting them.

It’s a day to start thinking about going off a cholesterol medicine I started taking. I haven’t been on medications for almost 10 years and starting this one has been a pain in the butt, literally. I can’t sleep, can’t think, I can’t remember things and it feels like my mind’s in a fog. The only thing different I have done during this period of weeks is take this medicine.

So is it worth it? I don’t think so. I haven’t been able to sleep for weeks because I can’t get comfortable enough at night to sleep. My mind is fuzzy trying to remember things, my digestive system is in an uproar of rebellion no matter what I eat and frankly I am tired of it. So what day is it anyway? Am I the only one…again? Have you ever been on this type of med and how did you react? Was it worth it?

This week’s Story Starter teaser is: She was standing next to her car in the empty parking lot routing around in her purse for her keys when she thought she felt a sticky chubby hand on her thigh. She knew immediately that Jack had crawled out of his car seat again. He was a masterful Houdini when it came to confinement. She quickly grabbed his hand and once again secured him into the safety seat. “I gave you that lollipop because you promised to stay safe in your car seat. I guess it will be early nap time.” Jack grumbled and didn’t try to escape again.

1. When you go food shopping, do you go with a list or amble down the aisles putting things in your basket or cart that you fancy or think you need? Always a list

2. When the temperatures drop for the colder months, is there a specific date you put the heating on or do you flick the switch when you start to feel cold? I rarely put the heat on or A/C.

3. Keeping with the cold theme, do you prefer a hot water bottle or an electric blanket at night? Neither. I have a sheet, a lightweight blanket and a heavier blanket if needed.

4. How do you feel about log burners? Do you think they are messy or cosy?I used them once in a while when I had a fireplace. Now I have an electric fake fireplace that glows and has a heater if I choose to turn that part on.
