Six Sentence Stories

What a word to describe anything! In the South an old woman would cook you up a mess ah chitlins. A frustrated mother yells what a mess as she looks into her kid’s playroom. I consider the political situation here in the USA a complete mess! Then there’s the old unrequited love mess—the triangle. But my favorite is listening to a song named the “mess around”.

Rory’s Morning Dawdler

What is the best way to cook an egg, and what is your favourite egg dish? Any way is okay but I like poached on toast, egg salad, and fried egg sandwiches, and scrambled at a restaurant. Plain boiled is a great snack.😋

How well can you control your emotions, and is it hard to keep them in check with moments and times when you feel passionate or angry with others or situations? If you read my blog you know I’m a very emotional person and the older I get the harder it is not to cry whether happy or sad. I have lessened in my anger in situations because really, I’m helpless to actually act on it🙄

The Sunday Whirl

The crowded gathering would disrupt the weapon craft challenge but a lockdown would ensure that the danger and hunt for the murderer be contained. It was unnerving to see flesh cut like that in such a grisly way but the “design” was clear. The ancient symbol was familiar to the crowd. They were helpless to watch as the grisly murder occurred. The rest of the broken glass was shattered but the jagged bloody weapon still laid across the body.

Reena’s Exploration Challenge – Time did not march on

The professor pointed out a graph on the chart as he placed the ancient time map on the easel. He was amused to see his flock of students wrapt in attention. It was only a copy given to him in a secret exchange by a fellow teacher. Such documents were forbidden now. The students had never seen anything digital before and they were mesmerized. There were no more neon displays of anything, let alone a timepiece. The old professor explained this was a typical clock back in the twenty-first century. Further, he explained the graph description showing years, weeks and months along with a twenty-four hour day which could be seen on the neon display.

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

I am such a lucky grandmother. I have eight unique grandchildren and all have various talents. The loquacious boy who was adopted from Korea in 2003 and abandoned by his family because he was born with only nubs for arms. Such an amazing little genius surprised us in every way. He was stubborn and insisted on doing everything himself. One day I found him, small barely walking, controlling the remote with his toes. He is funny, loves to joke and his laugh’s contagious. I miss him—away in college now.
