MLMM Wordle – Panty Raid

She tried to disavow what he thought were gallant actions, knowing he exaggerates with an abracadabra persona. He was an exemplary student, but always thinking any scullery on his part should be taken with humor, a lot of humor. To stabilize the situation she would don her “college letters”cardigan which revealed she was in the upper percentile of students responsible for leadership. After other ideas failed, she would reassemble the college social societies to repeal more placid activities, such as concerts featuring classical string quartets.

Six Sentence Story

You can see it in the eyes, the false triumphant smile, the teasing of evil. It does not have to be a fairytale or grim story in a child’s book. It relishes in hidden words promoting hate and fear. Disguised as helpful assistance when all the while secreted machinations prosper. People in power always want more of it. People who have no hope for it are the ones who suffer.

Here are this week’s questions about shopping habits:
1. When food shopping, do you prefer to shop online or in person? Online is great for most things but not fresh fruit and veggies.

2. Do you take/stick to a shopping list? Online? Yes. Hard to do in the store, most times it is a necessity.

3. Do you shop around or are you store loyal for convenience? I used to be when I lived in a small town but now I just go where I’m taken unless I have a specific item in mind.

4. Roughly how long does it take you to do a weekly shop? It depends on how much time the person taking me has.

Gratitude: I am so grateful to be healthy after sweating a yearly cancer test last week. Almost nine years clear is excellent!

Growing up in New England, I looked forward to autumn most of all. It was harvest time when all of the fruits and vegetables were ready to be picked, canned, or frozen to enjoy until the next year’s autumn. My mother did it all and how she managed I have no idea really, as I was usually outside playing in leaves or climbing some tree.

The Sunday Whirl

Six spells were cast by the sketchy sorceress and you would surmise this would either fend off the maiden’s seemingly foggy brain or hold a brand on her as a murderer. Life of a maiden was not pleasant in troubled times, but it was well known she could ply the bark off a tree with only her words. The body of her lover lay at the her feet but no matter how the magician tried, still could not force a confession out of the maiden.

MLMM – Spirit?

I was in my twenties and mother of three. At that time “the men” gathered at one neighbor’s house and “the women” in another on Friday or Saturday evenings. (It was the sixties.) No flower children residing in my new little neighborhood with young families and stay at home moms of which I was the only one.

We gathered at my home around a hexagon shaped Spanish style table and there were four chairs, one empty. One of the women opted out when another one’s attempted a seance to contact her beloved mother. Nervous giggles abound but she brought a ouija board and we were all curious. A candle lit the otherwise darkened room and we all clasped one hand and the other on the edge of the board.

J called to her mother as she spelled her name on the board and it was so still you could hear us breathing. Then the board moved. J thought I’m sure, that her mother’s spirit was around us. No one moved but J slunk back in her chair and let go of the board.

That night I told my husband that I felt a small breeze float by and sit in the empty chair and of course he laughed. I told no one else. Two days later one of the other women who joined us told me in hushed tones that she had felt a presence coming into the empty chair. I confessed I felt it too. This was an eerie experience we all confessed to at the next “boys night out”. It was the second eerie happening I experienced in my life.

MLMM Saturday Mix

“I thought it wouldn’t turn out! You told me if I used this applicator, my roses on the birthday cake would turn out perfectly! So I fastened it to the pastry bag and floop! The bag broke under pressure from your handy little device and now the frosting is all over the place! Thanks for your help, Paul Hollywood.”

We as a nation

Land of milk and honey

Dripping with smug attitude

Turning into something construed

By rich and white and selfishly crude

What happened to the statue’s promise

Or life and liberty and happiness

Can we ever return to love of man

If any nation will and can

We must return to that land.
