MLMM Sunday – February
February is a busy month for my family. My oldest son in NJ just had additional surgery, my only daughter has an anniversary and birthday this month and my oldest granddaughter has a birthday as well. Me, my daughter and her daughter are all twenty five years apart. ☺️ Not planned but it’s been great!
Of course it also reminds me of how old I am when my oldest grandson will be thirty this year, whoa! Most of the time I rock along not thinking of my age. That is, until I try to open one of those horrid childproof caps or seal a baggie😂

The Sunday Whirl
The patch of dust was glistening on the low stone wall. Above, the sky was stitched with lines of shadows streaming the expanse. Any hints of rain would not deter the two hearts’ wishes as they lay upon the grass. They stole their gaze from the canopy of blue when a small swarm of gnats interfered. The only mercy found were chilly drops of rain that fell to dispel them.

This is going to be a long day”, thought Jill. She made the commitment and needed to keep that thought to herself. Joe was excited and really needed a break. Jill was trying her best to be happy for him.
She made the mistake of buying new hiking shoes to impress Joe, but she felt blisters form as the anfractuous trail continued climbing. Trying not to show she was in pain. Joe noticed, and made her sit while he set aside bandages from his backpack. “We’ll rest here, have lunch, then cool our feet in the stream.”

I smelled pipe smoke, my favorite old brand which my brother still uses. I gave up smoking a few years ago but I still enjoy the scent of pipe smoke. My brother walked in and we started visiting. He was quite excited as he began to tell me of a movie he had just seen the night before, a murder mystery, which is also my favorite genre. The time flew by as it usually does with me and my brother and soon my wife walked in asking for help to plant her new purchases from the local nursery.
