The game right now is girls’ high school basketball. The team is comprised of some less fortunate students and this game is an outlet. The game supplies emotional support as well as self esteem. “Only a game” is not the mantra here in this city. Pride in themselves no matter their personal circumstances is in the game. Next time you choose to attend a game, think about the individuals who against many odds, fight together to win.
