Moonwashed Weekly Prompt – Sachets

Photo Challenge #504

Simply 6 Minutes – Welcome to the Challenge: 02/27/2024
This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
“This may seem like an odd request, but…have you ever thought about modeling?”Jane was taken aback and her face started to pink up. Never before had anyone asked her that and she was embarrassed. She replied “no” to the man who seemed genuinely interested in her. Jane blushed and then straightened her posture. The man continued, “our magazine is looking for women with extra large feet for our new shoe line ads”. Jane threw him a hateful look, sharply turned and walked quickly away.

I had to laugh at this starter, Fan!

24 Seasons Syllabic Poetry Challenge, No. 23, 2/27/24, Part II: Snow Becomes Rain (February 19 – March 4) Usui 雨水
Woke up this mornin
Snow on the ground
Thought I’d try to write
Something profound
Well it’s cold and it’s windy
No energy for a riff
It’s February trending
And old bones are stiff
Putting on coffee
Waking me up
Take the dog for a walk
No blues with that pup.
So that’s my story
Listen if you like
I doubt it’s memorable
Has no interest spike.

Haibun Monday 2-26-24: Snow Moon

Bring on the trolley
Start the drips and injections
This hospital ward is above any station
We’ll need tests causing pain and no privacy
The nurses and docs have their priorities
The only thing we can promise before discharge
We’ll invade your privacy at an exorbitant charge!

MLMM Wordle #361

Let’s give Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle a round of applauds. 👏 She volunteered to be this month’s guest co-hostess. The final theme for February, Mary is giving you two choices. The first one is to spell pistachio using Song Titles (or Artists/Bands if you prefer) since it’s National Pistachio Day or go with number two to build your picks with “leap” or “jump” song titles since it’s a leap year.
