Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

Weekend Writing Prompt #408 – Heart
W3 – A Miss

a rose he held in hidden hand
his desire a soft demand
she approached with a smile
he hoped she liked his guile
offered the rose, a gift of passion
she blushed, her actions rationed
he touched her cheek with a kiss
but then she turned away

*I am having a problem with this paragraph colon thing that pops up when I write anything. I’ve tried writing and then copy and paste but it does its own thing when it shows up and format is changed🙄
W3 Prompt #151: Wea’ve Written Weekly
MLMM Saturday Mix

Jimmy cowered under the bed, realizing his mom would be home soon. The bed was bare, no sheets or blankets, so he really wasn’t hidden by much. He had broken his mom’s favorite coffee mug, trying to get it from a high cupboard. He got his Craft glue and tried to fix it, and his babysitter helped. It was a bad patch job, would never hold a hot drink, but Jimmy thought it might work. When his mom came home she was told by the babysitter what happened. Jimmy’s mom went into the bedroom, sat on the bed and asked where her son could be. He finally came out, red faced and apologetic, only to receive a welcomed hug.

Its Spring!
Watching
Large soft flakes fall
Spring storms melt off quickly
Robins looking for food
Trees start budding
Spring’s here!

My Latin aunt wouldn’t qualify for the maze, even though her favorite pie, tiramisu, is the prize. Her green coat looks like part of the maze, a certain disqualification. Ask her to take it off, you say? Then no doubt she’d be rejected, or arrested – she’s an exhibitionist!

Sizing up the competition,
observing dance, dress and ammunition
“on the prowl” is her mission
hoping for a transition
rising up in social position
not really love, acquisition
skipping the tradition.
Carefully adjusting her foxy wrap
hands moving slowly from her lap
candidates seen ripe for her trap
crossing the floor while eyes adapt
watching her liquid movement map
she knows how to lure a chap
all settled with a strong nightcap
