Julie adored her husband
Thought he’s best in the land
There was one thing however,
Should be banned
Joe constantly hummed
Any old tune
Didn’t matter whoever was
In the room
At church caused someone older
To give a hefty pat on his shoulder.

The little boy sat near his folks. Storytime was newly implemented. They started with a classic, involving Nod. The child thought it was boring of course. He’d much prefer his usual character, Captain America or the Hulk. His parents insisted on the classics.

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Prompt Word!

Those eggs she never tried to fry
In a basket they sat to lie
They began to rot and spoil
Emitting foul smelling oil
If eaten might cause you to die.

Laughing Along With A Limerick
This is the best clip I could find of this movie from 2006. It is a heartwarming, funny, sad, and beautiful movie. It is rated R for language. Different clips are available on YouTube. I would suggest watching the one named “remembrance of things”, a personal favorite. I chose the one below because it gives a better view of the whole movie. It has some social commentary and I can’t imagine you would be disappointed when watching this film.

Who uses typo as their official language, raise your hand!🙋🏼♀️. Now with AI butting in to everything we write, it’s not just the occasional – wishful thinking – that happens, it’s entire sentences! I was trying to write a text today and a weird sentence appeared, not even a tiny bit relatable! Can you tell I’m frustrated with AI? The country I live in that used to be named America, causes so much strife for those of us that have a brain is bad enough, we DON’T NEED AI mucking everything up!

”It’s not on the map! I told you to use Google Maps, because this app doesn’t keep up with new roads. Google app does!”
“Julie, dearest, we’re almost there, and she said she would leave a signpost for the party. You know, old Jim is turning eighty, you’d think it would be somewhere quiet, but no, she had to rent this huge venue. I don’t know how many will even show up, or how many have passed…what a thought, Julie. We’re circling the drain ourselves!”
“What a thing to say, Jim. I can’t believe you’re so pessimistic. Look! The signpost!”

Sitting on the bed, typing away on her new manuscript idea, Sue suddenly smelled something unpleasant…a nice word she thought to herself, maybe I’ll use it. Then Riffraff came running in covered with the something unpleasant, triangle shaped hard rubber toy in his teeth, and unceasing wags of his tail. She immediately grabbed the aerosol can!

Can You Tell A Story In…

Echoing back to me
No future do I see
Contempt for what will be
Starting with truth and not the scenery
As Doris sang, what will be will be,
Que sera sera .

These huge planes and jets are loud, sounds like they’re right above our house!

maybe heritage
maybe fate
made a man with such hate
whoever thought he’d rise so far
blind followers pushed him there
wondering if they’re sorry now
wondering if they knew how
dangerous he could be
his heritage from across the sea
wondering if he’ll ever see
he hates others just like he
heritage is an old word sometimes sad
living, denying, hiding what “they” had
though heritage still exists
as your life on some government list
farewell heritage.
