A sun bleached tendril played on his forehead as a breeze caused a chance furl of his blue uniform cloak, showing his slim build. A merry swagger presented the gentleman as a wolf and even as I was aware of this, a chill went through me.
As he neared, the itch of reason waned and I instantly flew to his side. A wise owl might have observed this scene and warned, “be careful what you wish for”.
