It was going okay till I read this from the NYT. When my kids were in school I was an active member of the local and state PTA and we fought against policies such as this. I think BD is a complete farce as head of our children’s education policies.

“No! I hear mom calling us. We shouldn’t be late for dinner.” The brothers rode past the sign leaving Joey on the sidewalk. After they disappeared, Joey rode home. They had a new game on Nintendo Switch and he wasn’t going to let the opportunity pass. His dad took off to the woods to find Joey’s brothers.

A half hour later the three returned, dad still lecturing about leaving Joey, and going into the danger area. Joey’s brothers were sent to their room without dinner. Joey was playing Nintendo.
