I sorted through a few titles until author Don Winslow popped up and so I started “The Final Score” today. I have enjoyed this author’s books from my first read, “The Dawn Patrol” and then I went on to read his others in that series about Boone Daniels. Neal Carey, Danny Ryan are other character’s series I enjoyed. The Power of the Dog series is also informative and entertaining.

Joe’s body started to weave and the voices in his head louder to be screams. He tried to follow the edge of the pit, but it seemed to spiral down. The bones in his legs were weakening and he raised his arms to his temples with horrible aching. All of a sudden there were sparks in front of his eyes while the desolate underworld opened up to see a fast moving current of muddy water below. Joe knew he was going to fall into hell.
