Peter was always considered a slippery individual by other men who secretly envied him. He was almost toujours perdix, and most women didn’t bother to see beyond the facade. Without this shadowy element, he appeared charming, and together with his suave good looks, he was always successful.

Every winter season he would take advantage of the ski bunnies who were more than anxious to be seen with him. And the truth to be told, he was a pleasant treasure, within his capabilities. Peter would make his first impression by skimming effortlessly over crisp white snow slopes and then go “in for the kill” when party nights began at the lodge.

There was always an older widow with means about, and Peter would beguile till her early bedtime and then his compensation funded younger company for the rest of the night.

This is a cautionary tale. Of course, as usual, I am to blame in part. I received some long awaited good news this morning and was in an hypnotic state of euphoria.

I had to tell my sisters of the good news right away so it was going to be a long message. And because I’m basically an impatient person I decided to use the microphone on my phone to tell the news in a quicker email.

I had the phone close to my face so didn’t see what was writing. Finished, looked into it and saw nothing had typed, just the greeting. So scorched the airwaves by saying “f—-“ and of course it printed that.

They were in a time crunch. The mission to murder the aliens from space required a speedy boat, and the weapon they found on one of the abandoned secret government beaches. It would be a tight schedule so perfect execution was key. It had to be done before daylight.

The air was ripe with the aliens’ scent and they would be easy to find. The cove they chose was being overhauled by the local beautification group so a drawing of the suspected location was available in the local library.

Having planned the mission to what they thought was the tiniest detail, they boarded the boat ready for a fight. They killed the boat motor a hundred feet out around the hidden edge of the cove and noticed it was glowing with light.

Once onshore they snuck up close and couldn’t believe what they saw. Alien beings clad in what looked like bikinis, drinking pina coladas and dancing around a campfire.

There was only one thing to do. They stripped off their clothes and joined in the party.

My granddaughter was in a state marching band contest today and I had the link to watch it online. The site wouldn’t let me watch it unless I paid $11.00 a month or a year’s subscription for 70$ . What the???

I told my daughter pretty soon you’ll have to sign up and pay a site to pee in your own toilet!

Okay that was a bit over the top but I’ve had tech problems for a few days now and I’m sick of it! I went in to my site to fix and replace what WP took off (with their new and improved?system) and the thing just sits there saying it’s loading the customizer. Yes my iPad was fully charged. Yes I let it sit. It never let me in. Arrgh 🙄
