Happy “Love Is In Da Blog”, everybody. Thanks so much for enriching this blog event and giving us so much joy. You rock, and I love you, and it doesn’t matter how kitsch that might sound . For today’s prompt “Choose your own”

delicate spires
reach above life’s busy hum
choose the art instead
concrete jungle mixed culture
shows beauty among mayhem

This week’s Story Starter teaser is:
The two mad scientists are mesmerized and frightened when …they turned on the tv in the lab and saw Marjorie Taylor Green boarding a spaceship. “Finally!”announced Dr. I.E. Einstein, “they’ve come to take her back!” “Indubitable, Dr. E, but I fear we may be next!”

After a sleepless night this won’t be “tight”
Besides my morning look which causes me fright
I look outside and everything’s white!
Cold and windy but there is some sun
Should be grateful it’s not gray or dun
No promises made, probably I’ll get nothing done!
JuJoJa is done for this year
Finally need to thank Linda dear
She makes each January less drear.
A huge thank you to Linda for once again hosting Just Jot it January 💕🌸💐🌷

Let’s write our haibun that references the heart, in whatever context that you conceive. For those new to haibun, the form consists of one to a few paragraphs of prose—usually written in the present tense—that evoke an experience and are often non-fictional/autobiographical. They may be preceded or followed by one or more haiku—nature-based, using a seasonal image—that complement without directly repeating what the prose stated.

hoping heart
flushed cheeks flaring
dream fulfilled
scribbled note
such promises made
must be love
