Have you ever watched a long-running televised series from start to finish, and once you have reached the end, you wanted to watch it again or is once enough for you and time for a new long-running series? I’ve done that for a few, some have been: Friday Night Lights, ER, Mash, Game of Thrones, Daredevil and all related series, PBS – all, Golden Girls, The Dick Van Dyke Show, New Amsterdam, The Good Doctor, Saving Grace, Warehouse 13, just to name a few. 😀When it’s hard to find something new I rewatch old stuff.
Do you think traditions are essential to society – if so, why and if not, why not? It was hard to keep old traditions going when Covid struck and even now family grows up and moves or goes to college, etc. You have to work at it!
What would be easier to throw away, deep love or deeply lined rich pockets? Flip side: can money buy love? I doubt anyone would throw away deep love. And no money can buy real love. No jokes today…☺️
Probably the most stressful time in the last ten years was when my husband was dying in a hospital in Denver and I couldn’t be there. I had grandkids who helped me.
I wouldn’t mind sitting on the beach in Oahu.
I’m not good at accepting it even though I might want it.
Here she comes again Usually starts at ten Sticky fingers never clean Tapping my buttons at every scene Fast forward buttons have lost their sheen And changing volume up and down? All neighbors in surround sound drown Then there’s the oft spilled drinks Pushing my batteries to the brink And changing them must be a chore You should have heard the ragged swore When they need to be replaced Searching the drawer she is red faced My functions always get screamed at I’m sometimes thrown, land in a splat. My happy times start at midnight When she is finally out of sight.
Not looking closely, Marci grabbed the bouquet and pulled it to her chest, nearly squashing the roses. She knew it, hoped it, dreamed and even wished it—he loved her. Now here was the proof! She quickly took a couple of dollars from her purse on the sideboard and tipped the delivery man. He spied her quizzically thinking she had better take a better look at the flowers, but shrugged and left.
Marci just held the roses against her taking in the beautiful scent, of course he knew her favorites. He had been too distant lately and hopes were dwindling, but now? This gift? She almost swooned she was so enraptured.
It was only later while disassembling the bouquet, she saw the odd looking one, and being over excited earlier, promptly fainted.
This week’s challenge is a photo prompt. This year, I’ve asked my friend, and photographer, Terri Webster Schrandt, from secondwindleisure.com to share her photos with us for inspiration. Terri runs a weekly photo challenge called Sunday Stills. Check it out HERE.
