my words describe exactly what I mean.
An easier understood linguist never seen, certainly not magniloquent!”
Weekend Writing Prompt #327 – Magniloquent

Weekend Writing Prompt #327 – Magniloquent

Joe’s scattered ingenuity punctuated his every day job. He wanted to be the “one”, the select, not the ordinary man everyone thought him to be. The quality of the unusual remained elusive for Joe.
As he turned the piece of amber in his hands, watching the sunlight show the mix of hues in the stone, he realized he was similar—with unflagging attempts to be what it was not—a gemstone, and the changes it had gone through, being buried for centuries and still have a life of beauty.

PROMPT WORD: CUP
“My cup runneth over”, a popular quote, no one really knows who it was that wrote, means keeping faith in what you are and have is good. Realizing your life is what you think and do, should any blame only be on you? A positive attitude—feelings, needs, should be construed, again, featuring choices of you. The outsiders try to reel you in, saying you should be wiser, smarter, or thin; your mind of course takes this all in. Influential parents, teachers and authorities, their shaping and molding you, is not in minority. You should be you, body and mind—you, you be in the majority.

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!
Stay with Me” (often credited as “Stay with Me Baby”) is a soul song co-written by Jerry Ragovoy and George David Weiss. It was first recorded in 1966 by Lorraine Ellison, and produced by Ragovoy. Ellison recorded “Stay with Me” at a last-minute booking, following a studio cancellation by Frank Sinatra.

Cellpic Sunday – Falls Park

“We can’t trace her, the call went down with the cell tower.” Debris ripped around him, surging with the near hurricane strength wind. A rescue in the woods was getting more difficult as darkness loomed. He passed the information on to the others via his headset. They left the trail and walked closer to the river. The dark rolls caused by the flooding now made it harder to see if anyone was in the swells. Suddenly a bright yellow rain jacket was spotted passing and they threw a rope out to it. The woman in the coat was clinging to her dog and trying to keep them both from drowning. He tied a rope around his own waist and entered the water, grabbed the yellow coat. The woman and her dog and rescuer were safe.
