Unicorn Challenge

The child looked at the paper that flew by, then it landed at his feet. It had a word on the front he didn’t recognize. He turned it over and couldn’t make out the big word on the other side. It began with a j ‘cause he knew his alphabet, mostly. There was a drawing above the word. It was a lady holding a scale. He knew what that was because mommy used it when she was picking his favorite apples and they could only get three.

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

Of course I’ve tried to dissociate
I even tried to meditate
It out of my system, even debate
With myself of course
Till I’m hoarse
Why is there so much hate?
Who wouldn’t want to separate
Themselves from things that don’t equate
With love and harmony
And suffer most lonely
I can’t relate
Of age I’m late
Don’t remember such fates
Or hateful traits—
oh, wait
I do.

Weekend Writing Prompt #335 – Dissociate

MLMM Saturday Mix

Quacking, clucking, tweeting, even a clatter of chirping and an occasional shriek as the bird families gathered for the burial ceremony of “Peacklay”, king of all the peacocks. He had been felled by a hunter’s stray bullet in Madam Ornithophile’s garden forest area next to her castle. It had been renovated from the 1500s as an bird sanctuary.

SoCS – “oooh baby”

First thoughts are “oooh baby” – I know, but take it how you choose. Probably words uttered when one lover sees their other lover coming towards them with – well I’ll just let you fill in the blanks😂. It might be uttered as your tired body slips down into a hot bubble bath after a long day, or you are hungry for food and your favorites are sitting on the table waiting for you. Whatever it is, it is a pleasurable phrase used in certain “circumstances”.☺️

Six Sentence Story

“Well, I’m waiting, turn!”
She had already disrobed and transformed into the female werewolf and was nervously impatient considering these woods were almost too public.
“I’m trying but I can’t do it!”
“What? Just calm and let go, the moon is full and you only need to relax a bit”. Joe even attempted to howl, also useless, but suddenly a stranger approached them. Joe transformed immediately, not wanting to be caught out in the woods naked.

Fandango’s Flashback Friday

Daily Prompt: Doubt by rugby843 March 2, 2017

First it was awkward and brief
But talking again was a relief
We meant no harm
Again fell for your charm
No doubt I felt like a thief.

Stealing these moments of pleasure
I admit it feels like a treasure
Your voice, your kiss, your touch
I’ve missed it all so much.

Why must it always be this
A stolen moment of bliss
Causing regret and fear
But I still want, need your kiss.

How much should we risk
It always seems too brisk
So then, is it time again
To offer this?

A farewell to love, once more
Is it torture or heaven adored
I ask, I even beg
An answer to this, I implore

Shall this be the ending
Leave our hearts untended
Or start again, begin anew
You with me and me with you.

The Sunday Whirl

She yearned for the seeker, wanting him to fly from the broken relic where he lived and come to her again. He would satisfy her feelings of longing that was running a race through her body. Only he could calm her, at least that was what she would often tell him. The air around him seemed to smolder as he neared, and resonate in her, causing sweet content.

Classic Song Beginnings

Released: 1975 Album: ABBA Artist: ABBA

The name ABBA comes from the first initials of the four members – Agnetha Fältskog, Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They were not always a household name, however. When they first formed, they were named “Festfolk”, which is Swedish for “party people”.
