Here in Cheyenne, the wind dominates and in late autumn it increases, signaling the start of winter.

breezy icy clouds

stretching windy weather chill

goosebumps under fur

small dogs walking in sweaters

run back to cozy fires

Cats

Pretending to be a friend

Sneaking onto the blanket only just rid of fur

Laying innocently on your lap

A sound heard, from the kitchen?

The can opener whirls

Fishy odors drift into the lair

Her nails are out in an elongated stretch

Not meaning (really?) to mar her perch

Leaps into a pleasing manner below the bearer of tuna.

JJJ 9 – Pastime

Strange word today for me because it is my husband’s birthday on this date. He would have been 83, but passed away in 2013 from esophageal cancer. The survival rate if not caught early is ten percent.

Such memories by the mention of lagoon
Languid waters defined by cloudy moon
I remember lovingly when I saw the scene
A merman lying there, seemingly serene
Hair long and curled, falling free around bare body seen
Thinking this is a dream so mean.

MLMM Wordle

It was known as the hall of the beast and all who took classes at the building were intimidated by the sound of machines only sounding at night there. No one seemed to bother with a key to enter that part of the building, because once you entered you could not escape going down that hall. It was rumored that an ancient diary of mysterious happenings in said hall terrified its readers. The reputation of high upper class students’ hazing the freshman there also kicked up the reputation of a sinister area in the grand old building.

Here are this week’s questions:

1. When you look out of your kitchen window, what do you see? I don’t have a kitchen window.

2. When was the last time you used public transport? I used a taxi when a driver abandoned me at a store.

3. Do you prefer cut flowers or a potted plant? Love both.

4. Do you believe in Karma? Yes.

Gratitude: I am grateful my granddaughter got out alive after last basketball game. She is small and was blatantly flattened a couple of times. I told her I’d get her some Kevlar underwear for next game.

JJJ 7 – Curious

I don’t know about Dan or even George, but I’ve always been a curious person. I do know when not to pry as with coworkers, neighbors or close family and friends. They know I am open to hear what they have to say without judgment. I also can keep a secret if asked and don’t spread rumors I might hear. Well except for here in the blog and if it involves an unsavory character like T for instance. Then I feel free to go for it😂
