I just wanted to say hi and a big thank you to all the people who challenge us with great prompts every day. I look forward to all and try to get my brain working to respond…sometimes that’s a good thing, sometimes it’s a mangled version of a poem, but all fun and learning to me. People who provide us with prompts and responding to everyone’s efforts takes a lot of time and I appreciate that.

Also, thanks go out to my followers and all who take the time to post a comment or helpful advice. I usually keep my comments very short or I might take up an entire page! I think each blogger has their own preferences on comments, but keep writing them and keep reading—we all appreciate them.

Meeting Jim at midnight again, he always wanted the privacy of the hour. It wasn’t his fault, or anyone’s really, but his appearance made him shy in public. Jim and I were friends since high school and I would never abandon him as other classmates had. His parents passed away, but they were never supportive and didn’t help Jim assimilate. Entering the walkway tonight, my senses alert, I did not see Jim right away. We met here many times and there was never anyone else around, but I was still cautious. Then a smiling Jim approached, and all was well.

The preference for audiobooks over regular books depends highly on the person. Some people may prefer reading a book, as they believe it improves the brain’s ability to focus and concentrate. Regardless of the format you choose, reading or listening to a book are equally beneficial in their own rights.

It started out well, a little heat, then more, til I started to explore, the avenue of pain I was able to endure as my crafter seemed oblivious and demure. He turned up the flame to shape the glass and I was melting into a shape that might not pass. He was trying to make a face or mask of sorts, but expanded to a horrid image full of distort. The craft fair people were conservative at best. They passed on my crafter’s wares with a jest. “Old Blake really blew it this time.” A pun not worth a dime.

I’d never have to change my constitution!

No more diet resolutions

I could eat for days with no restitution!

Finally all those skinny bodies

In all those fashion shoddies

Their bones showing in every pose

They never eat, everyone knows!

But now I see an answer for all

Lovely ladies wide as they’re tall

No need to suffer more

Wear this dress, walk proud the fashion floor

Oh, George, I think I’ve found my dream

A dress that won’t burst at the seams

An answer to all the supposed flaws

Now we’ll be the ones to hear oohs and ahhs!”
