“Obstruction of an official proceeding” had been used in hundreds of cases against Donald Trump’s white nationalist terrorists who attacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and on Friday, SCOTUS said the charge can’t be applied. 

This means there will be resentencing for many of Donald Trump’s white nationalist terrorists and dropped charges for those who haven’t been prosecuted yet, like Donald Trump, who did face four charges of obstruction. 

The court believes obstruction is more about destroying documents and hiding evidence than obstructing an official proceeding. This is another gift for Donald Trump. Tomorrow, SCOTUS will rule on immunity for Donald Trump.

Supreme Obstruction

Joe Gorilla was steaming mad…this was the last time he was going to let hunters go after his family. He was on a mission, just like the days years ago at war. The hunters were the enemy—they had their specialized weapons, and team of guides, but he had knowledge…he knew every inch of this jungle. Joe also had the backing of the natives. They wanted nothing to do with outsiders coming in and killing their wild brothers. Joe’s group set up sharpened stick and hidden pit traps, along with rope vines to catch their steps. Of course Joe had an early sense they were coming from his previous years in combat. All of these traps were set up quickly. He and his friends had no remorse about outsider lives that may be lost in the battle; their families came first. His mission was protection of his family and peers, humans included.

Steambath Sunday

The grave expression on Joe’s face said it all. He looked up from the barren box and threw it down with a thud. After the long hunt, the riddle he solved, finding the keys…after all that he had nothing to show for it. Joe had a temper, but throwing the box was the end of it. He was so frustrated by the ominous clues his uncle left for him, all of the secrets supposedly hidden in that box; it was too much. He looked at the broken bits on the floor and a tear drop shown on his cheek.

Puzzle This – Saturday Mix, 29 June 2024

First of all, let’s talk about chicken. What is up with chicken and waffles? I like chicken, I like waffles but putting them together just gives me a chill. And eggs, I like eggs. I like them boiled, fried, poached or scrambled, but I don’t eat them much anymore. I only buy a pack of six and I usually end up throwing a couple away by the end of the month. I always think when I purchase them that I might need them to bake some thing like banana bread. I do take a couple and make egg salad and sometimes I even poach a couple. It just depends on if I have bread – that’s another thing I’m trying not to eat a lot of. I’m trying to eat mostly fruits and vegetables and using proteins such as beans, certain cheeses, fish, and sometimes chicken. Anybody else trying this?

And food items are expensive and if you live on a fixed income which I do, you’re picky with what you buy. I don’t like ordering groceries online because you never know who’s going to shop for those and what they’re going to pick out. Especially fruit that looks good on the outside and on the inside it’s dry, and tasteless. This wasn’t meant to be a rant of any kind or a complaint, I’m just stating facts in my own life. As to which came first, the chicken or the egg, I’ll let you figure that out. Have a nice weekend.
