At first he was all scwiggles and smiles. We sat in the meet booth and he just couldn’t sit still, his little body twisting and turning. My two companions were in love immediately, and so was I. He grew to be a soft hearted silky furred friend we named Hulk. A huge black sweetheart was my shadow who thought he was still puppy sized when he would jump into my lap. I miss him.

“Look over there, did you see that?” Joe pointed at the shooting star. “Quick, make a wish, hurry, because this night will end and you’ll miss it!” Joe was a dreamer, one of the soft hearted young men that are in the shadows these days. He was intelligent, quiet and still believed in wonder.
Mariah looked, but she missed it. She cuddled up next to Joe thinking how sweet he was. He was a rare find, always paid attention to what she had to say with interest, and had a genuine personality. Joe was almost childlike, with a huge imagination. It was if he was sitting on a rainbow, and he could look down and see all the good things that happen, not concentrating on the sadness Mariah saw every day. She was a social worker and it was a relief to spend time with Joe after her work day was over.
“Don’t worry”, Joe offered. “I’m certain there will be another one coming.” He gave Mariah a quick kiss and shifted closer.

OLWG# 393- Ted and Maria, A Love Story

Share Your World: 25th November

Poor Joe they all thought he was weird
Reason was his horrible beard
Long and fuzzy looked like a nest
Birds in it when he was at rest
Tragedy struck the day it was seared.

“Everything’s better with butter” I have to agree
It’s fat of course, with bread or potatoes, a treat
Then there’s avocado, a more healthy choice
But fats in general should not be rejoiced
Veggies themselves are good for your tummy
But with butter? Yummy!

dVerse Q213 With a little help…

The revolving doors to the convention floor
Were a total confusing mess
Everyone trying to ingress and egress
Causing guards at the door major stress
And then the escalator ascending and descending
Some attendees stuck on it never ending.
The convention had visitors, these devices unknown
It’s a wonder tempers were not overblown!

https://pensitivity101.wordpress.com/2024/11/23/three-things-challenge-m887/. Your three words today are: CALCULATE ADD DEDUCT
I know, you’ve seen it here before, but it’s extremely relatable today and I’m sharing:
Just Breathe
Song by Pearl Jam
Yes, I understand
That every life must end
As we sit alone
I know someday we must go
Oh, I’m a lucky man
To count on both hands
The ones I love
Some folks just have one
Yeah, others they got none
Stay with me
Let’s just breathe
Practiced all my sins
Never gonna let me win
Under everything
Just another human being
Yeah, I don’t want to hurt
There’s so much in this world
To make me bleed
Stay with me
You’re all I see
Did I say that I need you?
Did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn’t, I’m a fool, you see
No one knows this more than me
As I come clean
I wonder every day
As I look upon your face
Everything you gave
And nothing you would take
Nothing you would take
Everything you gave
Did I say that I need you?
Oh, did I say that I want you?
Oh, if I didn’t, I’m a fool you see
No one knows this more than me
As I come clean
Nothing you would take
Everything you gave
Hold me ’til I die
Meet you on the other side
