Vision of your eye
May grow dim and even fade
And may try to hide
But the mind sees everything
Whether wanting to or not.
Vision of your eye
May grow dim and even fade
And may try to hide
But the mind sees everything
Whether wanting to or not.
Whether straight, or with milk
It is of the magical ilk
Especially deep and dark
It all seems to spark
Something different in each
We all want to reach
For the taste, the treasure
It’s sublime without measure.
Unless you’re allergic
That would be tragic
You would miss the magic
And comfort of cocoa
Or coffee with mocha
What a disgrace
To miss the happy face
All messy and sweet
From a chocolate treat.
Certainly would be
No fait accompli.

Do you sleep with sheets tucked in?
Absolutely not, too claustrophobic!
Have you ever stolen a street sign?
No, but we woke up to a bunch on our front yard one day. Teenagers, what can you do?πππ
Have you ever clipped coupons and not used them?
Yes. The only ones I use now are for coffee. I try to clip them to my list but even then sometimes I forget to use them.
Do you have freckles?
Unfortunately yes. If they all blobbed together I could look tan! Something not possible for redheads.
I am grateful this week to see my granddaughter, who turns 21 tomorrow, walking without crutches after two hip surgeries in December.
I am looking forward to sending Moe the Monkey (cyranny’s amazing race) to my niece in New York.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE!

Look at the world.
Read the news.
Twitter or Facebook,
Oh, my heavens.
What they voice
Their loves. Their hates.
Do we ever really contemplate?
It’s easy to read
Easy to look and make a quick assessment
Of a person, their opinion, thoughts
But do we ever really look behind that mask?
Do we really want to delve that deep
Take the time and effort to look inside
To listen to the real person?
Or is it the seriousness that scares us?

Content. That’s the good news from me today. I am over the January blues and feel content today. A strange word in this day. But I chose it. I chose to just be content one day. No worries about anything, no grief, no pain, no pity party, no worries, no hunger for what I don’t have, just feeling that for one day everything is okay. Can you let yourself feel it for one day?

Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?
1. Yes, I have gotten a speeding ticket, fought it and won. I was driving less than twenty mph in a school zone in Denver. The rule is to go 20 or less even if the sign is not flashing. I saw a police car on the left side of the road and my friend and I joked about I was lucky to be going twenty. I had just picked up a huge helium tank for the grade school carnival. We were going to blow up balloons with it. The company donated the tank. At the same time I had picked up three big trash bags full of cans to use for another game. So the cans weren’t crushed, I had to go slow enough so the big helium tank would not roll over them. The policeman was rude and said I was going forty in a school zone but he lost in court. Justice done.
Do you sing in the car?
2. I used to sing in the car until the kids started turning on the radio when I did.π
Are you afraid of heights?
3. I am not afraid of heights.
What is the first concert you attended?
4. The first concert I went to was Peter, Paul, and Mary, a million years ago.
Do you knit or crochet?
5. I can knit, but don’t anymore.
Are you a cat or a dog person?
6. I’ve had dogs and cats and loved them all. German Shepard/wolf mix my favorite dog, and a tiny gray and white cat who loved to be held like a baby, favorite cat.
Do you ever cry when you’re happy?
7. I cry at emotional things, happy, sad, moving, inspirational, proud.
Are your doors open or closed when you sleep?
8. Doors open when I sleep. I’m claustrophobic.
Would you rather be chased by a big bear or a swarm of bees?
9. I would rather be chased by a bear than bees, but Poldark would be my choice.
Do you smile for photographs?
10. I don’t have big smiles in my pictures if I can help it. My government ID doesn’t let you smile or show teeth, weird.
What do you drink with dinner?
11. I drink water with everything. Once in a while iced tea if out.
What movie(s) would you watch over and over again?
12. Movies I can watch over again are usually comedies, or action packed where you can’t see everything the first time.

It’s just too hot
Some say, a warning
The stove, the sun
Can be alarming
But if it’s cold,
That too is dicey
Don’t want things too icy
Either one can cause danger
So instead think of a changer
There’s no need to brainstorm
Safety first, just choose lukewarm.

Your words of love
They sang to me
Music wasn’t needed
Lovely phrases of praise
Tempting me to believe
I wanted so much
And you gave it to me
Your song was sad
Telling me your story
I countered with a love song
But in the end it didn’t matter
What I sang to you.
I’m not much of a poet
But I know of love
The love of family,
Nature and surroundings.
Love at first sight
Your firstborn
Your first grandchild,
These are all blessings of love.
Love of your fellow man.
The love you give and share,
Is the most important.
