SoCS 6-28-25

Plug is appropriate for me today since I spent a while looking for the cord and plug to charge my Swiffer mop. I love it and of course living by myself I don’t have to mop frequently. Gone are the days I wanted shiny floors everywhere and religiously cleaned them – old mop and bucket days…😵‍💫young cleaners have it easy.☺️. After I finish writing today I’m going to plug in to rewatch some “The Pitt” episodes. Since I have to keep my left leg “up” instead of hanging down in the wheelchair, it entertains me. I try not to plug into the news but seems I have to.
❤️Have a great weekend and do something fun!❤️

RXC – 6-27-25

The walls are high, insurmountable

The bridge is inaccessible

How do we meet these challenges –

Only in our imagination?

Problems are icy barriers

Quiet reflection thaws them

Slowly only, think of solutions

Finds the answers you need.

***

It seems impossible, reaching out to help others, but they are also wanting your contact, so stretch your imagination, accept the differences.

Two lizards sitin’ in a tree…oh no I didn’t! Just kidding folks, I think it’s my mindset today…a little off, a little weird…ever have those days? For entertainment I shuffled my winter and summer sock drawer and gave some too small slipper socks to my granddaughter. My family came last night, a rare visit to see my great granddaughter, Tavi, and she was much more friendly this time. I got a lecture from my grandson, the firefighter and my daughter about not wearing the “I’ve fallen and can’t ’”…You could hardly call it a necklace. I don’t think these two lizards would be too happy with it either. I wonder how they call for help if they need it? Those long curly tails probably save them from falls. Nature doesn’t leave things to chance.

Shari wanted to explore an area on the park’s map that showed a fault line. She had read about Yellowstone Park and the volcanic action under it. “This is a good day for it”, she told her husband, “plenty of light over the area, the fog is gone”. Joe didn’t wake in a great mood and asked please could he just take a short nap and meet up later. Shari didn’t object and went to the fault area on her own. Shari was looking over the area where the park ranger led them the day before. Suddenly the earth beneath her feet started moving with great speed and she ended up falling into a huge crack. Luckily Joe showed up just in time to grab her and save her from falling into a growing abyss. Their vacation fun was over and Joe told Shari her exploration of volcanic areas was done. Sadly she agreed.
