Sue tried not to tremble and pressed her palms into the dentist chair arms. The machine taking X-rays was moving quietly around her head and she hoped it would hurry. It didn’t make noise or hurt her, she was just scared. She started to detect music playing somewhere and she thought, that doesn’t work, and let her jaw relax after holding the required piece of plastic firm in her mouth. It seemed the entire pace of the X-rays was interminable. Sue survived the trip to the dentist but was worried about the results. Luckily she needed no work done.
