A garnet is my favorite, an unassuming color – reddish brown is my choice. I had a ring I named my piano ring because the stone was placed on a gold band looking like the top of a grand piano was partly opened. I still have this ring but my arthritic fingers won’t accept its placement. My own birthstone is a sapphire and my husband’s was the garnet.
“Love and Devotion: People view garnet as a symbol of true friendship, passion, and lasting commitment.Protection: Ancient travelers and warriors wore the stone as a protective talisman against evil, bad dreams, and wounds.Birthstone: Garnet serves as the official January Birthstone representing strength and peace.”

Cheryl, I love the orangey-red color of garnet. Could you wear the ring on a chain as a necklace?

I never thought of that – thanks for the idea!

No I do not have a camera and my old iPhone is not like the new ones that take beautiful pictures. I love dragonflies and I was just sitting out in the sun a couple of days ago and this very large dragonfly came over and it’s like flirting with me I was surprised because I love watching them and it was such a treat – thank you for your always positive comments

The garnet is my birthstone too, Cheryl, and my husband gave me one set in a ring for my birthday just after we were married. I treasure it more than I can say. ♥️
