A garnet is my favorite, an unassuming color – reddish brown is my choice. I had a ring I named my piano ring because the stone was placed on a gold band looking like the top of a grand piano was partly opened. I still have this ring but my arthritic fingers won’t accept its placement. My own birthstone is a sapphire and my husband’s was the garnet.

“Love and Devotion: People view garnet as a symbol of true friendship, passion, and lasting commitment.Protection: Ancient travelers and warriors wore the stone as a protective talisman against evil, bad dreams, and wounds.Birthstone: Garnet serves as the official January Birthstone representing strength and peace.”

  1. The garnet is my birthstone too, Cheryl, and my husband gave me one set in a ring for my birthday just after we were married. I treasure it more than I can say. ♥️
