Joe loved the idea of a romantic fire, sitting by it with his friend on a chilly evening. The cabin did have a fireplace, but hadn’t been used in years. Charlie bragged he knew everything about building a good fire and proceeded to gather wood from the outbuilding. Putting big logs in the inside of the fireplace, no lighting would stay. The trouble came when he realized he needed kindling, so grabbed the axe and headed out to the woodpile. One chop and a wood chip flew into his face, thus needing a doctor for stitches immediately.
